Questions You May Want To Ask Your Surgeon

  • Why do I need the operation?
  • Are there any alternatives to the surgery?
  • What are the risks of surgery as well as the risks if surgery is not done?
  • What kind of anesthesia will be used?
  • What should I expect for a recovery period?
  • Are there any supplies I will need after surgery?

What Should I Expect?

  • When you check in you, will be asked to complete a patient registration form and a health history form. The receptionist will make a copy of your insurance card, collect your copay and check for a referral if one is required by your insurance company.
  • The receptionist will also collect any X-rays, reports or other information you may have.
  • The medical assistant will briefly go over your medical history and you will be evaluated by the doctor to determine if surgery is needed.
  • Your medical insurance is verified, preauthorization is completed and if there is a deductible it will be collected. Once all these things are done the surgery will be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you.

Our Billing Policies

  • Referral is required at the time of visit
  • A 24-hour notice is required for cancellation of appointment
  • Co-payment is required at the time of visit
  • Deductible is collected prior to scheduling surgery

Waiting Time

  • We understand your time is very valuable and we do our best to keep your wait time as short as possible. Sometimes unforseen factors make this difficult. The doctors may get delayed in the operating room or a patient may require a few minutes longer than expected.
